About Shirdi Tourism
Shirdi is a town in the state of Maharashtra, in western India. It's known as the former home of revered spiritual leader Sai Baba, and as a major pilgrimage site. Devotees gather daily at the Sai Baba Temple complex to honor his legacy.
One of the most interesting villages of Maharashtra, this one has no doors in any of the houses or shops to its name. People; here believe that their Lord Shaneshwar is always protecting them from all the evils.
The village is mere 65 kms away from Shirdi and therefore is one of the most visited places on the trip to Shirdi. Only male devotees are allowed in the premises near the idol to worship their lord.
Shirdi International Airport is located at Kakadi village, about 14 km South-west of the town of Shirdi in Maharashtra, India. It is the fourth busiest airport in the state after Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur. The airport, spread over 400 hectares, is owned by the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) and was inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind on 1 October 2017.
The first flight from shirdi airport was flagged off to Mumbai, by the President. And, this flight was operated by Air India’s state-run airline, which is popular by the name of Air Alliance.
A DVOR system was installed at the airport in September 2019 to enable aircraft to land at the airport in low visibility. Shirdi airport flights available for every citizen who want to travel towards shirdi.
